Omega Delta Phi Epsilon Chapter - Brooklyn College |

Behold the Fraters of ODPhi - Epsilon Chapter.
The hottest fraternity Brooklyn College ever saw.

The Original Omega Delta Phi Fraternity was founded in 1903, as Alpha Chapter, at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, in New York City.
Epsilon Chapter of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, flourished within the ivy covered walls of Brooklyn College of the City University of New York from the
early forties until the early seventies.
In the winter of 1975, the fraternity took in it's last pledge class.
Today, its alumni number about 150, most still living in the
metropolitan NY-NJ area, with a few scattered from Rhode Island to
California. All still share a bond that was forged decades ago at the
cafeteria tables, the rooms, or in the Dean's office.
Today, our members are teachers, lawyers, doctors, scientists, social workers, engineers, policemen and firefighters, to mention a few professions.
We have served our country in peace and in war. Our brothers helped put the first men on the moon. Some fought in the Vietnam War, while others fought at home to bring that war to an end.
Omega Delta Phi was a tough fraternity to pledge.
The three basic tenets of pledging were; humiliation, harrassment,
and physical pain. In spite of it all, those who survived the ten
weeks of pledging, returned safely from their Hell Night voyage,
and got to put on that black & gold sweater, knew that they were the best
........ They were FRATERS of ODPhi..

Today, many Fraters still get together at the annual Vic Kane Black & Gold Memorial Dinner, to relive fond memories, and blame each other for their failed lives or current mental conditions.
Fraters Take on Shipload of Food and DrinkDateline: Little Italy September 28, 2007 The fraters of Omega Delta Phi fraternity took on a shipload of food and drink at Il Palazzo on Mulberry Street in Little Italy, where one mangias very well. Among the expanding waistlines, receding hairlines, and distressed prostates were the Elsa Maxwell of ODPhi party organizing, F. Ed Erikson, and his side kick F. Rocco "Alice B. Toklas" Romeo. While numerous no longer clucking chickens, slaughtered shrimp, and crying calves would argue otherwise, the fraters, partaking generously of the fruit of the grape, barley, and assorted flora, had a fabulous time comparing diseases and degrees of decrepitude. Yet, lest one believe the ravages of age have slowed down the fraters, one had only to look at F. Bob "Bypass" Fickies, who having found his "dream bar" in Averill Park, now proudly demonstrates that a man's reach indeed has exceeded his grasp. The Kenny's gut is truly a prow to behold. Rumors of dazzling conversation from F. Carl "Staten Island's a Long Way from Anywhere" Acierno and gum-popping repartee from F. Billy "Check My Golden Age DA Hairstyle" Ferrier, along with the single-adjective-laced conversational style of K-Mart shirted ex-chief of la polizia in Nova York, Louie "The Hat" Anemone kept the groaning board full of gas if not repast. F. Lou "I Don't Speak New York No More" Spaventa confided to F. George "I Gotta Pee"Alwon that indeed he was still a virgin and his wife had had three immaculate conceptions. The only lowlight of the evening came when one gray-bearded frater accused the aforementioned F. Alwon of being indifferent. The F. Sherman Glass Memorial Glass Object in a Box was ceremonially dumped on F. Pete Coriaty for no reason that anyone could think of. Then all the old men went home and left the Hispanic waiters to clean up their mess.
